AquaMind ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple user identifier and, optionally, your name and email address.
- Health Data: Water intake amounts, daily hydration goals, and related wellness data you manually enter.
- Profile Data: Display name, avatar emoji, and preferences you configure in the app.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage patterns, and session duration for improving the user experience.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and debugging purposes.
2.3 Health & Fitness Data
- If you grant permission, we read and write water intake data to Apple HealthKit.
- HealthKit data is never shared with third parties, used for advertising, or sold.
- HealthKit data is stored only on your device and in your personal iCloud (via Apple's infrastructure).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the water tracking service
- To calculate personalized hydration goals based on your profile
- To send smart hydration reminders (with your permission)
- To enable social features (leaderboards, challenges with friends)
- To sync your progress across devices
- To improve our app and develop new features
4. Data Storage & Security
- Your hydration data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
- Social features data (friends, challenges, leaderboard) is stored on our secure servers hosted on Cloudflare Workers with D1 database.
- Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
- All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- We do not store your Apple Sign-In password.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. We may share information only in these cases:
- Social Features: Your display name, avatar, daily progress, and streak are visible to your friends in the app.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.
- Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics that cannot identify you individually.
6. Third-Party Services
- Apple HealthKit: For health data synchronization (optional, requires your permission)
- Apple StoreKit: For in-app purchases and subscription management
- Apple Sign-In: For secure authentication
- Cloudflare: For backend infrastructure and data hosting
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in the app
- Delete your account and all associated data

- Revoke HealthKit permissions through iOS Settings

8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data will be removed from our servers within 30 days. Local data on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app.
9. Children's Privacy
AquaMind is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.
10. Special Health Modes
AquaMind offers pregnancy and breastfeeding hydration modes. These modes only adjust your recommended water intake goal locally. No pregnancy or breastfeeding status is transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
